The main cause of psoriasis is overreaction of the immune system. I try to eat healthy food and avoid stress as much as I can in order to prevent flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I've turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease - the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-psoriasis extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

  • There are different forms of psoriasis, so you need to be more specific. If you have psoriasis, nothing in alt med really works for it, I've tried everything. I manage my flexural psoriasis with a hydrocortisone cream from the pharmacist, but it can only be used short term. Be very wary of sun beds, they come with a very high cancer risk. They are definitely carcinogenic.

Medical research continues, so hang in there.

If it is eczema, then that can be also managed with over the counter creams.
  • Hi, you can try one of the natural treatments available on the Internet (just google "natural treatment of psoriasis") and take your pick. Some of them do actually work. For my psor. I use herbal cream by Champori quite successfully. It takes just a couple of weeks to clear the spots and they then stay clear for months on end.
Try it: Champori is available online without prescription and comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn't work for you - it's free.
    Cheers,

  • Eczema and psoriasis are different and separate conditions with very different patho-physiologies. Other than exposure to sunlight, which has its own risks, there is no useful natural management for psoriasis and no cure.

Options for management range from yellow soft paraffin with salicylic acid,to tar, dthranol and Dovonex.

  • My boyfriend had really bad psoriasis. He tried Dovonex and Dovobet, They worked great but as you can only use them for a month because of the steroids, the psoriasis flared back up even worse than before when he stopped using it

He tried sun beds, just 1 per week and all the psoriasis is nearly gone, he swears by sun beds
  • try Eucerine CREAM not lotion. You can get it or the same cheaper generic at walmart but the cream is thicker and more effective than the lotion. Dont know if it will cure it but it will help, fragrance free.
