No dark chocolate contains 70% cocoa unlike milk chocolate, its fat content is lower.

  • Chocolate at its core is potent with antioxidants and reduce free radical damage to your cells on a cellular level. Milk chocolate is not healthy because it contains a solidified form of milk which, because of its production environment, has the precursors for free radical development (florescent light-induced oxidation). Also because of the added sugar and butter milk to most chocolate bars that make them fatty and bad for your teeth. Even many store bought dark chocolates have a lot of sugar. Generally speaking though, all chocolate is good for you in moderation. Its the additions to chocolate to make them taste better and more marketable that makes the stuff next to the register bad for you in excess (as are all things).
