  • Do you mean how to make your immune system more resistant to viruses?

You do this by eating foods rich in vitamins and minerals, such as fruits and vegetables. Taking vitamins is good, but food variety is important to ensure that you are getting "live" nutrients.

Also, limit the amount of alcohol you consume, do not smoke (or quit, if you do), and try to stay away from pollutants such as aerosols, cleaners with chemicals.

Reduce the amount of stress you have as much as possible, as stress wears down your body and makes you prone to colds and other ailments.

I also heard that exercise helps with your immune system. Don't ask me how because I am not a physiologist, but I think it has something to do with the blood's circulation and how certain cells attack bacteria.
  • taking vitamin D3 supplements is supposed to help with immunity, especially in the winter when people are not getting much sunlight to make it in their skin. Eating whole grains vs. stripped or white flours helps too, plenty of fresh fruits and veggies instead of junk foods, mushrooms are said to help increase white blood cells which helps in immunity and good multi-vitamin helps too. Plenty of sleep and regular exercise are good for increasing circulation and repairing cells and building blood cells.
  • Make sure you get Vit C.Make sure its a good brand though, without added ingredients. I recommend "SISU", its in a blue bottle. Apple cider vinegar is excellent. Bragg's brand is the best, because its raw, unfiltered and with "mother". Take 2 tbsps. 3 times day with you meals. Stop drinking or eating any dairy products and soy. Try almond milk, hemp milk and rice milk. Buying organic fruits & veggies. Eating a balanced diet with grains & healthy fatty acid oils such as, fish oil, olive, grapeseed or walnut oil. Exercising regularly and stop eating processed sugars, oils & foods. Drinking herbal teas such as, peppermint, spearmint, chamomile and dandelion .

  • There are plenty of ways to "strengthen" your immune system. First, always get plenty of sleep and rest, your body needs it to fight off disease. Second, make sure to drink orange juice for the vitamin C. Third, try not to go through any stress, or at least avoid it,stress lowers your body's ability to fight infection. And last, but not least, wash your hands often, make a habit out of it.
  • Cleanliness will help avoid viruses,
as for being stronger? I'd exercise, cut back on smoking and alcohol which weaken the immune system, take vitamins, and see a doctor annually. Try to also avoid stress which can weaken the immune system.
  • Actually, there is an amazing new product out there by Barleans called Olive Leaf Extract. It has anti-virul properties, has more antioxidants than any of the super berries (like goji and acai) and has an amazing effect on the immune system. Elderberry is also a great supplement and you can find it in lozenges , syrups and capsules (try the one by New Chapter called Immune Take Care)

  • It's a fallacy created by modern advertising that you can strengthen your immune system. There are some things that you can do to prevent illness though and they are really simple. Eat a healthy diet, exercise, wash your hands, and get enough sleep every night.
