Question about marijuana?

2 actually ...

1.) Why is it illegal?

2.) How much do people sell it for, like all the different amounts and stuff? (Im not gonna buy it im doing a report ;)

1. I've been wondering the same thing. I personally think it is ridiculous for marijuana to be illegal. Marijuana has never directly killed anybody. Alcohol is legal, and kills people frequently. I've never heard of Marijuana poisoning. If the government legalized marijuana they could begin taxing it and making money, so it wouldn't hurt them. If the government legalized it, people could buy marijuana from a good place and not have to worry about it being laced. If the government legalized marijuana, there would be less crime on the streets because people wouldn't have to get it through shady deals. If the government legalized it, people who genuinely love the plant for whatever reason could grow it, possibly even run a business.
Marijuana has so many benefits, and so few downsides. Marijuana helps with many ailments (obviously, since it is sometimes prescribed by DOCTORS).
For me...
It helps with headaches.
It helps me sleep.

There is no solid proof that marijuana makes people stupid. Much of the information out there discrediting marijuana is probably propaganda.
The government does not want to admit it has lost the "war on drugs," perhaps? I've heard it many times.
Some people say it is a gateway drug.... And alcohol isn't? If someone is extremely drunk and a person offers them a drug, are they more inclined to say yes?
Marijuana is not meth, it is not heroine. It is a plant. It grows from the earth.

Anyways.. I could go on forever about this...

2. Price, quality, and amount can vary from place to place. But in my experience, this is the average...

A nickel (Nick bag) is about 1.4 grams and is $5 worth
A dime is about 2.8 grams and is $10 worth
A dub, double dime, or just what we call a twenty is $20 worth and is about 3.54 grams
A quarter is 1/4 ounce or 7 grams... I've never paid more than $25-30
A half (half O) is 1/2 ounce or 14 grams..dunno the price, never buy this much
An ounce is 28 grams....dunno the price, never buy this much

I tried to research the price of the lost two but found a couple different numbers... maybe someone else on here can provide that.

Like I said, the price is different depending on the quality and where you are...

  2. Mid grade is usually sold 20 for an 1/8 ounce. High grade is usually 50 for an 1/8 ounce. This is assuming you aren't getting ripped off. Prices are probably cheaper in some places, but these are standard for Ohio. Once you start to get to the higher amounts the dealer basically cuts you as much of a deal as they feel like, but ounces of midgrade usually don't go past 150 and are generally around 100-120.

  a quarter can be arond 50$
  a half o could range from 90 to 150$ depending on the quality

• Everyone who has answered so far must get really shitty weed( red bud, mersh, weak chronic). For dank medical grade weed (to a random customer, not a close personal friend) the prices are as follows:
  
  Dub ($25.00)- 1.7 to 2.0 grams
  Eigth ($40.00 to 50.00 depending on quality)- 4.0 grams
  Quarter Oz "quarter"( $80.00 for dank)- 8.0 grams
  1/2 Oz ($140-$150.00)- 14.0 grams
  Oz- ziplock bag( $300.00- 350.00)-28.0 grams
  
  Bring a scale to your dealer, have him weigh it out. If it doesn't weigh out to these measurements (grams) then don't buy from him or ask for more weed and tell him that your not stupid. You need to research weed more, you don't want to get stuck with mersh, or some crappy red bud. You can get alot more mersh for 40.00 bucks, than you would if you bought an eigth of some really dank chronic. Listen to John Madden, other than me, he's the only one who has his **** right so far.
