Can energy drinks be addictive?

Resolved Question

Can energy drinks be addictive?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

of course they can ......... caffeine and processed sugar are highly addictive and both are contained in large amounts in energy drinks ... don't be a slave to coffee and processed sugar ..... they'll both rip the calcium and magnesium right out of your bones if eaten or drunk in enough quantity.

  • Just about anything can be addictive. People have been addicted to exercise, to pornography, alcohol, work, money, video games, gambling etc.

Addiction can also be described as "an obsession, compulsion, or excessive psychological dependence"

    so yeah. I reckon so.
  • someone can become addicted to anything. people can get addicted to food.

energy drinks themselves are not 'addictive' or have addictive properties.
  • both psychologically and physically. due to the high and the physical dependence associated with caffiene.
