I think Gregg has been smoking mosquitos, ha ha ;)
{its similar to tetracycline - an antibiotic}

Take the next one at either 7am, or at 8:45 (or 9) - which ever is easier for you to remember for the rest of the doses...

The important thing about antibiotics is to take them consistently. One dose a couple hours late most likely isn't going to make much difference - however, you want to be rigorous in taking them at the right time from now on...

Also - be careful about being in the sun - this antibiotic can make people sensitive to it...

  • It's important to stay on a semi consistent schedule with doxycycline because it's an antibiotic, and you want the same amount of the antibiotic in your system at all times. If you took it at 8:45p.m. tonight, then you should take your next one at 8:45a.m., then the next one at 8:45p.m., and make that your new pattern. It really doesn't matter what the time is when you take it, as long as it is 12 hours since the last time you took it.
  • Well, ask yourself "How many 12 hour periods have there been?" If you only knew what you were doing to your psychological makeup. Normally, I would say 'yes' on giving a patient doxycycline for MALARIA. Are you around a lot of mosquitoes?
  • Nobody can give you official medical advice on this forum, but in my unofficial opinion, I dont think it will matter that much if you take it a few hours early or late.
  • You should call a pharmacist. They are the drug experts, and will know better than people guessing on yahoo.
