Good fixes for sore throat and raspy voice?

Resolved Question

Good fixes for sore throat and raspy voice?

Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwiches have always worked for me; but it's not working this time.
I've done a *lot* of yelling these past few days.
At work all week, at the beach/lake on saturday, and then at a party last night [alcohol didn't help all that much].
My throat is *dying*. Seemingly at least.
I don't have anything exceptional to do that makes me need my voice to perform at top function - but I do have to yell over fryers, broilers, and drive-thru speakers to call for meats and other crap like that -- so I definitely need to be able to do that.

Either way.
Honey and PB isn't working. Warm tea never works, neither does any other warm drinks. Cold drinks soothe the pain [numbs it], but makes it worse afterward.

Any suggestions?
Any idea how long it'd take for my voice/throat to come back to health - factoring in the every-few-minutes yelling for 5 hours a day, and the constant talking all day long?

Honey + lemon drink.

Boiling water, in a mug, lemon juice (not too much or your throat will burn) stir in honey (runny honey works much better than creamed honey)

very hard to make this for anyone other than yourself as people like things sweeter/sourer depending on taste.

honey soothes and the lemon cleanses.

try out Manuka honey...the strongest grade of it is brilliant.
It's from bees that make honey in Eucalyptus trees - eucalyptus is great for clearing colds.

good luck :)
