How does one cure a hangover?

Resolved Question

How does one cure a hangover?

Just wondering

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Water. When the liver converts alcohol into a substance that isn't poisonous it uses a lot of water and dehydrates the body. Drinking a glass of water between each alcoholic drink will prevent or lessen a hangover. Drinking water is the cure for a hangover you didn't prevent. Avoid aspirin and acetominephin, despite the fact that they help with the headache taking them will lengthen the hangover.

  • don't take Tylenol ! acetaminophen-based pills aren't good for you when you have alcohol in your system.

try drinking some water before you pass out (if you aren't too far gone to remember to do it).

I always drink some Gatorade and water when i get a hangover.
try eating some plain toast, or drinking juice. you just gotta find what works best for you.

  • Like all problems, prevention is the best cure. Don't go to sleep with alcohol in your belly. Switch to ice water before you wind up the evening, how soon depends on how much you have consumed. If you don't, the next best thing is a lot of water asap. Also, you know your belly, it either needs acid or antacid, use something like lemonade or tums to treat.
  • The only cure for a hangover is not to get drunk in the first place. Seriously though, all those fast remedies truly do not work. The best thing for a hangover is laying on your back with a cold cloth or ice pack on your forehead, sleep and rest, along with plenty of Tylenol.
  • Yea.. I agree with William T. The best way to cure a hangover is to drink at least 8oz of water before you go to bed at night.

  • stop drinking
