Can i take toprol and soma together?

Resolved Question

Can i take toprol and soma together?

I am currently taking soma (muscle relaxer) for my out of joint jaw and i'm taking toprol to slow my hear down due to mitral valve prolapse. No pharmacies are open yet and i was curious if i can mix these 2 medicines. I figure the pharmacy wouldn't have given them to me if i couldn't take them together but something i just don't trust them and want to make sure.

Your best (and safest) bet would be to wait until the pharmacy opens and ask a pharmacist if there are any interactions listed between the drugs you're taking. I would agree with your assumption that the pharmacist (or at least the doctor) wouldn't give you the pills if they would cause a problem, but they may not have checked their database when filling it. Doctors and pharmacists both have access to a database of drug and supplement interactions and they can tell you quickly if you can safely take them together or not.... anyone here will just have a best guess from searching on the internet (which isn't always accurate, as we all know) ;-) Good luck!
