TEA,what are the medicinal & healing properties of tea. What is the magic medicine in tea?

Resolved Question

TEA,what are the medicinal & healing properties of tea. What is the magic medicine in tea?

I've had major stomach problems for 5yrs. I have taken every stomach medicine on this earth. My illness is GASTRITOUS ATTACKS very severe ones. Every year they have gotten worse & more of them in clusters. 4 mnths. ago
I was sick with gas. attacks for 6 wks, having 4 to
5 attacks a week, lost more than 40lbs. BUT, around 3 mnths. ago ran out of coffee had nothing to drink except tea. From that 1st cup of
tea I Immediately felt calming in my stomach infact the more tea I drink the better my stomach
feels & it feels like it's reversing the damage done to my stomach from so many Gas. attacks.
Doctors are baffled,I no longer take any meds & I'm back to eating what I want(after 5 years).I've also had every test possible scoping me out end to end. I'm not complaining, not at all, I would just like to know what is in the TEA, I feel great again. It can also be any kind of tea, doesn't matter. Anytime my stomach starts to
sour or if I fell a gas. attack coming on, I slam back not even a third of the cup & I'm fine again!
Thank God for tea or I would be very close to death right now!

Well the kinds of teas that come from the tea plant called "camellia sinensis" like green tea, black tea and white tea are packed with anti-oxidants that act to strengthen your immune system and help protect you from various ailments and diseases.

Herbal infusions, on the other hand, such as those made from the dried roots, leaves, bark and flowers of various plants and trees, are also similarly imbued with unique sets of naturally-occuring compounds (like tannins, mucilage, fiber, vitamins) that also help you fight against diseases and ailments.

Here is a nice site that gives you all the health benefits that you can derive from different kinds of teas and herbal infusions:

  • There is no proven medical benefit to most teas. Some contain certain useful components, such as anti-oxidants, but these are not a magic bullet for health issues and can be found in hundreds of other foods and drinks.

Your story is an excellent example of the kind of "proof" that is often used in CAM. You were sick, you started doing something different, you got better, and so you credit the something different with curative properties. The fact of the matter is that the human body tends to heal itself, it's actually very good at it. Even serious diseases, like cancer, are sometimes spontaneously healed by the body. Just because you started drinking tea and then got better does not mean that the tea cured your problem. If I was sick, took up smoking, and then got better no one would think that cigarettes healed me but that same logic is used all the time for other products. I'm glad you got better, but there is no logical or scientific reason to think that tea made you better.
