Are Melatonin sleeping pills one of the only sleeping pills that are not addictive?

Resolved Question

Are Melatonin sleeping pills one of the only sleeping pills that are not addictive?

Are there any other sleeping pills that are NOT addictive? (Can be over the counter, or prescribed by a doctor)

Try Nature Made Sleep sleeping pills, they work wonderfully and they are all natural, non addictive, and they actually do help you sleep. They do contain some Melatonin, but they also contain L Theanine (the stuff in turkey that makes you sleepy), chamomile, and other similar ingredients that will help you get a good night's sleep.

  • Melatonin does not have a physical addiction.. We create it naturally in our bodies.. teenagers create more of it to help them sleep more because there bodies are growing at a fast rate so they need alot of rest.. As you get older your body doesn't create it as much so you sleep less. The sun light going down at night tells are body to start releasing Melatonin to get us ready for bed time.
  • I take 5htp and passiflora to help get to sleep. Neither of them are addictive.

Valerian and hops are also effective, but valerian sometimes causes sleepiness the next day. These aren't addictive either.
  • I just bought Melatonin a few weeks ago. They recommended it for ringing in the ears, which I have. It's not addictive, but I can't say it's working for me either!
  • I tried Melatonin once, and I was up all night for 3 nights. Didn't work for me!
