What kind of chemicals can ecstasy be cut with?

Resolved Question

What kind of chemicals can ecstasy be cut with?

Ok someone I know took some "rolls" last night but they were cut with a wierd chemical besides mdma, they just don't know what. He thought there was poison in the roll because it made him feel like he was getting damaged by them. In other words, they did the exact opposite of what ecstasy is supposed to do. He said they just looked exactly like an eraser on the end of a pencil, and didn't have any design on them what so ever, and one was puple and the other was white.

What chemical could the pill be cut with to cause this? Cocaine? Ketamine? lsd? He also said he constantly had the urge to uninate even though he didn't have to urinate, a very uncomfortable feeling.

How can one comedown off this stuff quicker if it makes them feel bad like that?

BS, it is not cut with ANYTHING. Stating that it "can be cut with anything" is an unscientific statement as it cannot be proven to be false.

Studies based on databases of tested ecstasy pills (unfortunately, only few databases which document high-quality tests are public, one of those is ecstasydata.org) seem to conclude the following:
- most pills contain either MDMA ("ecstasy"), MDEA ("eve"--similar to MDMA, but shorter duration, more "stoning"), or MDA ("adam"--similar to MDMA, longer duration, more "speedy").
- a substantial fraction of pills DOESN'T contain one of the MDxx substances. It's hard to put an exact number here as the few studies out there give different findings (as they are based on data from different areas/time). I'd say around 20%-40% don't contain MDxx.
- next on the list of what many people still consider good pills is 2-C-B and related. Less euphoric and more hallucinogenic than ecstasy, the range of possible effects is wider
- also relatively common are amphetamine ("speed") or methamphetamine. Most people who want MDxx are not happy when the main active ingredient of the pills they got is speed.
- also relatively common are piperazines such as BZP/TFMPP/mCPP and others. These "pipes" have often relatively few positive effects but long-lasting and very unpleasant side effects (strongly increased heartbeat and body temperature, anxiety, nausea, restlessness, unpleasant hallucinations, migraine, and worse) Unfortunately, they have become much more common over the last year or so (partially for legal reasons). They fit your description relatively well. Pills that are "pipes" are often big and, unlike ecstasy, can easily be pressed into various shapes. They taste sour, different from the unpleasant, very bitter taste of MDxx. Pipes can give rise to severe hangovers lasting multiple days.
- caffeine/aspirin or inactive substances are used to cut sometimes.
- PMA. Very rare but extremely dangerous, especially in combination with alcohol. This I would truly classify as "poison"
- ketamine ("K"). Rare (less than 2% of pills perhaps). Why? Common oral doses of ketamine are too big to fit in a regular-sized pill.
- LSD ("acid"). Rare nowadays. Acid is more expensive than ecstasy and less readily available.
- Cocaine/heroin. No, EXTREMELY rare. Many databases contain not a single pill that tested positive for these. No wonder, they are too expensive. It's more beneficial for dealers to sell them as "coke" and "smack" respectively.
- benzos or antidepressants. Has been seem but very, very rare. Just not what the customers want.
- rat poison? Strychnine? other poisons? No, EXTREMELY rare. Dealers want to make money off their customers. They won't make much with these.

Conclusions? Based on your description and based on the fact that the most common "undesired" active substances in pills these days are pipes, I'd say it were pipes most likely. I've got them before and they sure can make you feel like hell. Also, if you take a high dose, the effects are quite long-lasting (24 hours + is not unheard of).

Lastly: Unfortunately, there's not much you can do to abort the trip. Some people have tried diazepam ("valium") but say it didn't help too much. Just curse the dealer, go home, drink water and take vitamins, have a person around that can calm you down. Try to watch TV or something if possible. Don't take other drugs, remind yourself that you'll come down and wait it out.

  • This is a perfect example of natural selection, or how nature attempts to weed out the week and stupid.

Illegal drugs can be cut with anything. If you are lucky they are cut with citric acid or bicarb. But what if they were cut with arsenic? You wouldn't know until it was too late. It is not uncommon for drugs to be cut with drain cleaner and similar.

So this time he didn't die? Will he be so lucky next time? Will he learn?
  • Anything really.

LSD, Ketamine, Methamphetamine, amphetamines, BZP, DXM, GHB, TFMPP, 2c-b, 2c-i, 2c-x, etc...

They seem to be cut most commonly with Methamphetamine, TFMPP, and BZP. Not sure exactly what the last two really are, but I think we all know what meth is.

That is why buying ecstasy pills is stupid. You never know what's really in there unless you test them yourself. I mean doing MDMA is stupid in the first place, but if you really feel the need to just buy some Molly so you at least have a better chance of getting only MDMA.

Here's a site which contains the reports of tested pills: http://www.zedgecollectibles.com/fo420ma…

Note: Don't use that site as a guide for identifying your own pills. People use the same exact symbols and colors for different kinds of pills. The only way you can really know what's in your pill is if you test it yourself.
